Cheerleading

Cocoa Youth Athletics Corp (CYAC) cheerleading is a youth league program that teaches young athletes the essential skills of cheerleading to lead a crowd and support the home team. CYAC cheer will teach cheers, proper hand and body movements as well as jumping techniques.

Ages

We start as early as 5 years of age up to age 14. Athletes must be league age as of 7/31.

When

Season begins July 1st and runs until playoffs in December.

Where

Practices and home games are held at the Stradley Park. Games may be played across the metro region.

Practices

Teams practice 2-3 times per week.

Games

Teams will play 8 -12 games over the course of the season and will usually fall on the weekends.

Jerseys

CYAC cheer is required to provide a uniform for each athlete. Spirit gear, shoes, competition accessories may be a separate cost.

Extra Costs

Expect team managers to collect funds to cover extra gear, snacks, etc.
